(1) Sew a regular zig-zag or serge stitch along the raw edges of each side line.
(2) Sew the side seams together and stop at the mark indicating the beginning of the sleeve opening.
(3) Press the two flaps of the sleeve open toward the wrong side of your garment.
(4) Fold the raw edges of the two flaps in towards the wrong side. Press and pin.
Topstitch the folded edges in place as close to the outer edge as possible.
