1. Pinafore dress with frill strap Serge the edge line of frill. Fold 0.5cm(3/16”) concealing the cut edge and press. Sew the hem as shown. Sew a parallel row of long(gathering) stitches around the frill. (Stitch length long, tension low/loose) Gathering the frill. Pin the frill to the strap with right sides together as shown. The face of both strap pieces should be touching. Sandwich a frill between two straps. Then sew the straps and frills together with right sides together as picture shown. Leave unstitched 1cm(3/8”) from back as shown. Match the front and front facing together. Face the right sides. Sew the top sewing line as shown. Turn right side out. and Press the top seam line. Sew the baste stitch of the sides. Face the right side of strap and front. Match the front bottom edge and strap front edge as shown. Then sew the side line of front as shown. Then fold in half with the right side and sew down the short side of back and 7cm(2 3/4”) of strap as show
